Danielle travelled to Walnut Creek, CA to photograph a fashion story starring the Walnut Creek Aquanuts, a synchronized swimming team. The girls, who have all been swimming competatively since they were 7 or 8 years old, were dedicated, articulate, sensitive, and talented young women. Some of the girls have the Olympics in their sights, while some will use synchro as their ticket to college and new career opportunities. Above all, our film discovers that the sport, while beautiful and graceful, is also one of the most challenging undertakings most of them have ever faced.
